SOLICITORS

Most buyers regard solicitors and their work as being a necessary evil in the property buying process. Many buyers search for the cheapest fee quote they can find, only to discover part way through the process that the old adage, “You get what you pay for” applies just as much to conveyancing as it does to estate agents, cars and hotels!

A good solicitor will charge a few pounds more, perhaps, but this extra cost is a worthwhile investment when they help to sort out queries and problems quickly and efficiently, liaising closely with the estate agents and surveyors who have acted on your behalf. Their integral role in the process of buying and selling property involves not only preparing contract documentation but also sorting out queries on the title, boundaries, easements and rights of way, problems with local authority searches and in particular with leasehold issues for flats and environmental search issues with many of the new developments being built today and those in ex-mining areas and close to rivers where flooding may occur.

At David Moor’s we have spent 25 years building relationships with solicitors we can trust and work closely with. If there’s a problem, between ourselves and the solicitors we can probably resolve it, helping your sale or purchase through to a satisfactory conclusion without delay.

We would be pleased to arrange some competitive quotes for you, with no obligation.
